Dr. Mortazie's passion for dentistry started at an early age after chipping his front tooth playing soccer. Dr. Mortazie obtained his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from George Mason University. Next, he attended Howard University College of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in 2001 and underwent post-doctoral training in surgical and prosthetic dental implantology.
Continuing education in advanced and cutting edge dentistry has always been a driving force in Dr. Michael Mortazie's professional life. As such he has attended many advanced training institutes including the esteemed Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) with a focus on cosmetic, functional & neuromuscular (treatment of TMJ Disorder) Dentistry. He is also well trained in orthopedic, functional, neuromuscular orthodontics, invisalign and Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been awarded the American Top Dentist Award consistently since 2003 by the Consumer Research Council of America.

Dr. Michael Mortazie is married, has two daughters and lives in McLean, Virginia. He enjoys family activities, outdoor activities and movies on his spare time.
